Lately Sony has been showing much love for formats other than theirs. To prove that, they recently announced their D-VE7000S Walkman which amazingly enough, supports not only MPEG-4’s but also DivX which has to be a first for this company. The D-VE7000S also supports a wide variety of optical formats like DVD, DVD+/-R, DVD+/-RW, DVD+/-R DL, CD, VCD, CD-R, and CD-RW. All this contributes to the ultimate experience when it comes to viewing movie on the go. Aside from that the player also includes a wide variety of exiting features that will make watching movies even more enjoyable.

As for the screen, the D-VE7000S features a 7 inch widescreen display which is quite good considering how portable this device is. The only bad thing about it though is the support for next generation formats like Blu-ray and HD-DVD. Since we are entering this new era of formats it would be good to have support for them considering DVD’s are becoming obsolete. The player is well designed with the controls and buttons in the right places and user friendliness reaching its peak.
The D-VE7000S also features Dolby Digital 5.1 for the ultimate audio experience, as well as DTS. The player is capable for both on the go and at home usage making it the ultimate movie watching device for wherever you are. So far no price has been announced so for now we can just sit down and wait with great anticipation for this exiting product to come out.
