The site went on to explain that what we previous thought of as Pixas is actually Pyxis, which will go head to head with the Apple Nano featuring the same size, functionality and video support. They’ve also confirmed the new name for the service to support these devices will indeed be called “Alexandria” – that’s an odd name for an online music service. Urge is out and Alexandria is in.
The last piece of info is that public demos and announcements should occur in the late August and last through September with the product launch in October.
